The Apostille Certificate is a paper attachment which is fixed permanently to your
supplied papers. The documents will then be accepted as authentic in any of the
Hague Convention countries that will accept the Apostille (and some others). As
it is glued and embossed with the Legalisation Office Apostille seal you may wish
to legalise a certified copy so that the originals remain unchanged.
Documents that are from Guernsey can only be legalised with an apostille
certificate that has been issued in Guernsey. Due to this they can not be
legalised with a UK issued apostille certificate.
We can accept all official government registrar certificates from Guernsey. In
addition, non-government registrar signed documents that originate from Guernsey
signed by a notary public or solicitor who is based in Guernsey will be accepted
for a Guernsey apostille. Once legalised with the Guernsey apostille the
document can then be used outside of Guernsey as a legal and valid document in
any other Hague Convention country. Our professional apostille service will make
sure that your Guernsey issued document is officially legalised for your ongoing

Please be aware that we do not offer a service whereby we arrange for your
document to be signed by a Guernsey registered notary public or solicitor. Where
applicable, the document must be signed by the Guernsey based notary public or
solicitor and then sent to us before we can proceed.
