Good service

Joan Patricia Washington - Australia

Your service is very prompt, and I particularly liked the fact that I could get an emailed copy of the certificate. In fact, I'd be very happy with just the emailed copy - the postal copy is really superfluous if it's just used for genealogical purposes. I just wish your certificates held more information, which I know is advice 100 years too late. I also wish your indexes were better as there's no way of identifying just which person is the one you're researching. Can get very expensive. A cheaper emailed copy would be great.

Michael Ellison - Harrogate North Yorkshire

Great service! I have been searching for the whereabouts of a great great grandfather John Archer after his name was included in the 1891 Census. One death record that became my 'favoured' option was in the Dec Quarter of 1898 in Cardiff. The Death Cert related to a drowning in the Glamorganshire Canal in Dec 1898. Newspaper reports of the time stated that a copy of the deceased's father's will had been found in his lodgings - who had died in 1892. The value of the estate being £6,000 plus. As I knew that George Archer (father of my 'missing' John) had died in that year and probate had been granted for just over £6,600 I applied for the will. Although there is nothing definite that confirms the unfortunate John who drowned was my amcestor there was a codicil which intrigued me. A family diary recorded that my great great grandmother MaryAnn Archer had left her husband John in Feb 1889. The interesting codicil written in Jun 1889 revoked the bequest to John in favour of MaryAnn with the funds to be held in trust for George's grandchildren. Thus George Archer had effcitively disowned his son. This explains another diary entry in 1911 stating that Charles Archer needed to access money that was in reversion for him. The will may not have proved any link to the John Archer who drowned, but has given me a clearer understanding of other records I have located. Thank you for that.

Excellent service

MR. DAVID WILLIAMS - BRISTOL

Excellent service! We lost an uncle back in July who at his request just over 3 years ago he approached my brother asking him to help him out with a promise that he would not lose. He did help him out and when a solicitor came back in may to rewrite his will my brother got well and truly cheated the solicitor failed to rewrite the will and we wished to check old will now unless we take a lot of legal action we have nothing ! so much for a solicitor who offers a prompt professional service in local yellow pages nice to see the will and see how we have been betrayed. Thank you for finding the will for us.
